Welcome to Toucan Tango!!

This is the story of the sailing yacht Toucan Tango and her intrepid crew, and their adventures as they follow the cruising life. We hope you will join us as we travel the world, or at least the part we are in, and perhaps even come to visit us once in a while! At the very least, we hope you will enjoy these tales and photos. And please, do let us know what you think.

We are Ann Swiston and Garry Peerless, sailors. Since July, 2001, we've been cruising in the Western Med on Toucan Tango, our Catana 471 catamaran.

In the mid-80's, we cruised our 35-foot monohull, Freja II, for two years throughout the South Pacific. When we returned to work in North America, we had plans to get back to the cruising life as soon as we could.

In July, 2001, we realized that dream with Toucan Tango. She is a 14 meter (47') catamaran, built in France by Catana.

We're now into our fifth year of cruising, and enjoying it as much as ever. The Med has been wonderful, and we are looking forward to discovering new ground as we head down the Red Sea and over to India and Thailand.
